National Consultant – Client Engagement, Support and Adoption Coordinator

Position

We seek a dedicated National Consultant, Client Engagement, Support and Adoption Coordinator, to be the central point of contact between clients (users of Ona and Sikia) and the Tatu team. The consultant will coordinate field campaigns and pilots, manage client engagement and support, ensure effective use of technology in field conditions, establish systems, workflows, and quality standards, and support adoption and market development.

Employment Type

This is a full-time consultancy position for 8 months, with a potential extension.

Location

The position is based in Arusha, Tanzania.

Salary & Benefits

The consultant will receive a total payment of USD 16,000, paid in four installments of USD 4,000 each, upon completion of specific deliverables.

Accommodation & Facilities

The consultant will be responsible for their own accommodation and facilities in Arusha, Tanzania.

Job Description

The consultant will be responsible for:

  • Coordinating field campaigns and pilots
  • Managing client engagement and support
  • Ensuring effective use of technology in field conditions
  • Establishing systems, workflows, and quality standards
  • Supporting adoption and market development

Key Responsibilities

  • Stakeholder engagement and quality control
  • Lead and manage client engagement across campaigns and pilots
  • Refine and apply the Ona Client Engagement Checklist
  • Provide weekly status updates
  • Act as the single point of contact for clients
  • Coordinate issue resolution with Tatu teams
  • Collaborate with breeding teams for workflow integration
  • Document feedback and lessons learned
  • Monitor and support Sikia pilots

Required Skills & Experience

  • Master’s or Bachelor’s degree in Agricultural Sciences, Business Development, Education/Adult Learning, or related technical fields
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in stakeholder coordination, client monitoring, technology adoption (preferably in agricultural research)
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in customer support or service delivery, capacity development or adult learning
  • Experience in field coordination or digital tools is an advantage

Frontend Knowledge

  • Proficiency in coordination tools (checklists, trackers, shared drives)
  • Organized problem-solving abilities
  • Ability to track performance and develop service frameworks

Additional Technical Skills

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work in a team environment
  • Ability to adapt to new technologies and systems

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience working in agricultural research or a related field
  • Knowledge of digital tools and technologies
  • Experience working in a global research partnership
