Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated National Consultant to serve as the central point of contact between clients (users of Ona and Sikia) and the Tatu team. The Consultant will play a pivotal role in coordinating field campaigns and pilots, managing client engagement and support, ensuring effective use of technology in field conditions, establishing systems, workflows, and quality standards, and supporting adoption and market development.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage client engagement across campaigns and pilots.
- Refine and apply the Ona Client Engagement Checklist.
- Provide weekly status updates.
- Act as the single point of contact for clients.
- Coordinate issue resolution with Tatu teams.
- Collaborate with breeding teams for workflow integration.
- Document feedback and lessons learned.
- Monitor and support Sikia pilots.
Required Skills & Experience
Education
Master’s or Bachelor’s degree in Agricultural Sciences, Business Development, Education/Adult Learning, or related technical fields.
Experience
Minimum 3 years in stakeholder coordination, client monitoring, technology adoption (preferably in agricultural research), customer support or service delivery, and capacity development or adult learning. Experience in field coordination or digital tools is an advantage.
Technical Competencies
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in coordination tools (checklists, trackers, shared drives).
- Organized problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to track performance and develop service frameworks.
Preferred Qualifications
What We’re Looking For
We are looking for a professional with a strong background in client engagement and support, particularly within the context of agricultural research and technology adoption. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in coordinating field operations, managing client relationships, and ensuring the successful implementation and adoption of technology solutions.
Work Environment
The Consultant will be based in Arusha, Tanzania, and will interact with clients across East Africa and beyond. This role requires a high level of adaptability, cultural sensitivity, and the ability to work effectively in a multicultural environment.
