Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated National Consultant to serve as the central point of contact between clients (users of Ona and Sikia) and the Tatu team. This role is pivotal in coordinating field campaigns, managing client engagement, ensuring effective technology use in field conditions, establishing systems and workflows, and supporting adoption and market development.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate field campaigns and pilots.
- Manage client engagement and support.
- Ensure effective use of technology in field conditions.
- Establish systems, workflows, and quality standards.
- Support adoption and market development.
Required Skills & Experience
Education
Master’s or Bachelor’s degree in Agricultural Sciences, Business Development, Education/Adult Learning, or related technical fields.
Experience
Minimum 3 years in stakeholder coordination, client monitoring, and technology adoption (preferably in agricultural research). Additional 3 years in customer support or service delivery, capacity development, or adult learning. Experience in field coordination or digital tools is an advantage.
Technical Competencies
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in coordination tools (checklists, trackers, shared drives).
- Organized problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to track performance and develop service frameworks.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience in field coordination or digital tools is an advantage.
What We’re Looking For
We are looking for a professional with a strong background in client engagement, support, and technology adoption within the agricultural research sector. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in managing client relationships, coordinating field operations, and driving technology adoption.
Work Environment
This role is based in Arusha, Tanzania, and involves managing clients across East Africa and beyond. The consultant will work closely with the Tatu team and various stakeholders and partners.
